This 40+ hour program covers 40 competencies—25 knowledge-based and 15 skill-based. \nBelow you will find an overview of the 5 day training schedule: \nDay 1- \n\nIntroductions\nAgency History\nOverview of Rights\, History and Legislation.\nIntroduction to Customized Employment (CE) and Discovery\nStage 1 of Discovery\n\nDay 2- \n\nOverview of Social Security Benefits\nStage 2 of Discovery\n\nDay 3- \n\nStage 3 of Discovery\nStage 4 of Discovery\n\nDay 4- \n\nStage 5 of Discovery\nJob Development/ Negotiation\n\nDay 5- \n\nSystematic instruction\nJob support\n\nRegistration includes:\n\nFive days of training consisting of lecture\, hands on experience\, and homework\nHandbook with resources to be used in training and beyond\nOpportunity to receive the $3000 incentive from DDS for successful completion of the course\n\nCertification Requirements:\nParticipants who complete all requirements will receive a National Certificate of Achievement in Customized Employment Services Basic Level. \nTo earn your certificate\, participants must: \n\nAttend all instructional sessions.\nActively participate in discussions and activities.\nComplete and submit all required assignments.
