What We Offer

This 40 hour Customized Employment training combines lecture and lab components. Learners walk through the process of Discovery and the development of Customized Employment solutions. Hands-on learning prepares Employment Specialists with the tools necessary to assist ALL people in finding employment in their community. Specialty focus areas: supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and those with complex support needs as well as developing social capital.
There are both in-person and online/virtual options for this course.
Upon completion of our ACRE-endorsed curriculum in Customized Employment, practitioners will receive a National Certificate of Achievement in Customized Employment Services- Basic Level.

Want more than just a basic understanding of CE? Utilizing the tenets of fidelity, our skilled specialists will walk with you through the process of Discovery and the development of the employment plan, solidifying your knowledge and skills and taking you to the next level professionally.

Person Centered Thinking training is a skill-based and interactive training developed by The Learning Community for Person‑Centered Practices (TLCPCP).
Person-Centered Thinking underlies and guides respectful listening which leads to actions, resulting in people who:
Have positive control over the life they desire and find satisfying;
Are recognized and valued for their contributions (current and potential) to their communities; and
Are supported in a web of relationships, both natural and paid, within their communities
Course participants will learn to:
Listen to understand before deciding what should happen next.
Analyze an issue or situation across different perspectives.
Identify qualities that people value about each other.
Explore what makes a good and bad day; enabling those we support to make the changes needed to have more good days.
Practice person-centered thinking tools to help people get better lives.
Participants will receive a certificate of completion. There are both in-person and online/virtual options for this course.

Social Security benefits can be intimidating and complicated.
As an individual who receives benefits, meet with a Community Work Incentives Counselor to receive individualized Social Security benefits analysis, alleviate fears about how work affects your benefits, any any other questions you may have.
As an employment provider, learn how to assist those you work with with social security benefits, learn how Social Security interacts with work, etc. You can meet 1:1 with someone you support, or you can schedule a larger group training.

Topics may include organizational change and culture development, service design and innovation, leadership development, staff training and coaching, person-centered thinking, and strategies for embedding values into everyday service delivery.
