This comprehensive training is designed to enhance your skills in Customized Employment Services. This 40+ hour program covers 40 competencies—25 knowledge-based and 15 skill-based.

Day 1-

• Introductions
• Agency History
• Overview of Rights, History and Legislation.
• Introduction to Customized Employment (CE) and Discovery
• Stage 1 of Discovery

Day 2-

• Overview of Social Security Benefits
• Stage 2 of Discovery

Day 3-

• Stage 3 of Discovery
• Stage 4 of Discovery

Day 4-

• Stage 5 of Discovery
• Job Development/ Negotiation

Day 5-

• Systematic instruction
• Job support

 

Certification Requirements:

Participants who complete all requirements will receive a National Certificate of Achievement in Customized Employment Services Basic Level.

To earn your certificate, participants must:

• Attend all instructional sessions.
• Actively participate in discussions and activities.
• Complete and submit all required assignments.
